1. The Adventures of Milo and Otis:

Milo and Otis – a little kitten and a pug with an adventurous spirit – makes for a feel-good type of movie. 

2. Turner & Hooch:
Tom Hanks and a dog – a big drooling dog. Talk about funny with a capital FUNNY.

3. Old Yeller:
This was probably one of the saddest dog movies ever made. It's a coming-of-age story about a dog who is important to his family, and then gets sick later in life. It has a great message about life, love and loss.

4. Lassie:
Lassie is the queen of all dog tales and movies. Every dog has a thing for Lassie and rightfully so.

5. Lady & The Tramp:
If you ask us, this is Disney’s best film – Lady & Tramp shows just how special dogs are – both stray and domesticated.

6. Homeward Bound – The Incredible Journey:
These pets are as different as night and day, but their love for each other and their human family bonds them together. The three embark together on a treacherous and thrilling journey to find their way back home through the California wilderness.

7. All Dogs Go to Heaven:
An animated tale that shows the importance of kindness and unconditional love for each other.

8. Beethoven:
This is a series of movies, so if you like the first, there are several more to enjoy. It's always a crazy adventure with this giant Saint Bernard.

9. Marley and Me:
This tale about John Grogan and his crazy mutt, Marley, will melt your heart.

10. The Fox and The Hound:
Disney’s tale of friendship between two very different creatures.

11. 101 Dalmations:
Puppies, puppies and more puppies!

12. Air Bud series:
A dog and his offspring who play sports, have distinctive personalities and solve life’s problems.

13. Hachi – A Dog’s Tale:
A remarkable story about one man's friendship with his dog. 

14. Benji:
Joe Camp’s series of films that captured the hearts of millions.

15. Max
A fairly recent release, Max is the story of a dog who was the best friend and partner of a Marine. This film shares what military dogs go through. 

16. Because of Winn-Dixie:
A heartfelt story about, Opal, a lonely 10-year-old girl, who is ecstatic to find companionship with a rambunctious little ragamuffin dog she names Winn-Dixie, after the store where she found the pup. With Winn-Dixie's help, Opal befriends several colorful townsfolk and even begins mending her relationship with her father.

17. Eight Below:

Brutal cold forces Antarctic explorers to leave their team of sled dogs behind as they fend for their own survival until they come back to find them. Stars the late Paul Walker.

18. My Dog Skip:  
Who says best friends have to be human? Not Willie Morris who receives a talented terrier named Skip for his birthday.
